JEFFERSON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, ADVERTISEMENT FOR SEALED BIDS
COURTHOUSE COOLING TOWER REPAIRS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Jefferson County, Arkansas, will receive sealed bids from qualified contractors for repairs to the existing cooling tower serving the Jefferson County Courthouse, 101 West Barraque Street, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71601.
Equipment: One (1) Marley Cooling Tower, Model NC8304E1CS, Serial No. 219433-A1, single cell, ground-level installation.
Scope of Work: The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the work, including:
• Lock out and tag out the cooling tower before commencing work;
• Remove and dispose of existing PVC fill material and PVC drift eliminators;
• Disconnect and temporarily support associated cooling tower inlet piping and valves;
• Remove existing galvanized steel hot water basins and install new galvanized steel hot water basins, including covers and nozzles;
• Install new fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) fill supports, PVC fill material, and PVC drift eliminators; and
• Provide necessary dumpster and forklift services; restore affected connections and return the cooling tower to the County ready for startup.
Bid Requirements: Bids shall state one complete lump-sum price, including labor, materials, freight, applicable taxes, equipment, and disposal, and identify the anticipated material lead time and on-site work duration. Contractors shall meet applicable Arkansas licensing requirements. Each bid shall be accompanied by bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid, in the form of a cashier’s check or corporate bid bond.

Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked “BID - COURTHOUSE COOLING TOWER REPAIRS.” Late bids will not be accepted. Jefferson County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities as permitted by law.
