Pursuant to 8 CAR § 11-205 of the Arkansas Pollution Control and Ecology Commission’s Administrative Procedures (8 CAR Part 11) and 8 CAR Part 42, the Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment, Division of Environmental Quality (DEQ) gives the following notice:
W & W - AFCO Steel LLC (AFIN: 60•00065) has submitted an application for a renewal of their existing air permit under the Division Environmental Quality’s 8 CAR Part 42 (Title V). This facility is located at 1500 East 22nd Street, Little Rock, AR 72202. This application was declared administratively complete on 5/18/2026, and is undergoing technical review by the Office of Air Quality for compliance with State rules and Federal regulations. Citizens wishing to examine the permit application may do so by contacting Air Permits Branch, DEQ, 5301 Northshore Drive, North Little Rock, AR 72118, (501) 682-0744.
Interested or affected persons may request a hearing on the proposed permit by giving DEQ a written request within ten (10) business days of publication of this notice. The request shall be in writing to the above address - Attention: Air Permits Branch and state the reasons for the necessity of a public hearing. The DEQ shall have the discretion to decide whether to hold a public hearing, unless otherwise required by law or rule. If a hearing is scheduled, adequate public notice will be given in this newspaper.
