The Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Arkansas will hold a Public Hearing for comments on the needs of older persons for the development of the Area Plan for fiscal year 2027 and a proposed waiver to provide direct services for Fiscal years 2027 through 2028 under the Older Americans Act, Title III funding for Senior Center Programs in Baxter, Benton, Boone, Carroll, Madison, Marion, Newton, Searcy and Washington Counties. The public hearing will also cover a direct service waiver request to do direct services under Title IIIE Family Caregiver Funding to provide respite care at Adult Daycare Operated by the Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Arkansas in Baxter County Arkansas. Also proposed waiver of the requirement to provide 50% of Title III B funding for priority services under the Older Americans Act for fiscal year 2027 through 2028. The hearing will be held at the offices of the Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Arkansas located at 1510 Rock Springs Road, Harrison, AR. on Wednesday May 27, 2026 at 3:30 P.M.
