JEFFERSON COUNTY, ARKANSAS
Jefferson County Courthouse Two Elevator Modernization
Jefferson County, Arkansas, invites sealed bids from qualified contractors for one complete turnkey modernization of two hydraulic passenger elevators, identified as Elevator No. 2 (AS2744) and Elevator No. 3 (AS2743), at the Jefferson County Courthouse in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Scope of Work: Provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, fees, inspections, testing, coordination, documentation, warranty service, preventive maintenance, and incidental work necessary to deliver both elevators fully operational and code compliant. The project includes controllers, power units, door equipment, fixtures, communications, wiring, pit equipment, associated building work, acceptance testing, and closeout documentation.
Bid Deadline and Delivery: Sealed bids must be received no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon), Central Time, on October 27, 2026, at the Jefferson County Buildings and Grounds Department, Jefferson County Courthouse, 101 W. Barraque Street, Suite 107, Pine Bluff, AR 71601. Clearly mark the envelope: “SEALED BID — COUNTY COURTHOUSE ELEVATOR MODIFICATIONS PROJECT — DO NOT OPEN.”
Public Opening: Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after the submission deadline on October 27, 2026, at the same address. Bidders or their authorized representatives may attend.
Bid Documents and Questions: Contact the Jefferson County Buildings and Grounds Department at warnerworthan@jeffersoncountyar.gov or 870.692.1350. Written requests for interpretation must be submitted no later than five (5) business days before the bid deadline.
Bid Requirements: Each bid must include bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid, proof of a current Arkansas contractor’s license, and evidence of bonding. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, together with required insurance. Jefferson County intends to award one prime contract for both elevators.
Jefferson County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities to the extent permitted by law.
